Pinot Gris

Exploring fruit from further afield has been an exciting evolution for our Pinot Gris. We’re eager to follow its development in bottle and to refine our sourcing for the 2026 vintage.

Technical Specifications
STYLE	fresh, juicy, textural.
PALATE	Juicy lime and sweet floral flavours are complemented by subtle hints of blood orange. The wine’s textural character carries through to a gentle oily finish, adding depth and persistence.
DRINK	enjoy anytime - vibrant, expressive, and endlessly ap- proachable.
FOOD	recently enjoyed alongside Barossa Cheese’s La Dame- a delicious pairing. A versatile wine that also complements hearty salads and light, flavourful dishes.
VINEYARD	our 2025 Pinot Gris marks a refreshing change of pace. This year, we sourced fruit from the Fleurieu Peninsula, bringing a vibrant new dimension to the Small Victories range. Despite the warm and exceptionally dry season, we’re delighted with the freshness and lively texture that embody the hallmark Gris style we love.
SEASON	a drier-than-average spring set the tone for the growing season, with regular short irrigations required to maintain canopy health. Harvest came early and was compressed, supported by consistent sunshine that allowed flavour development to keep pace with sugar ripening.
WINEMAKING	fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fruit purity.

Meet the Ashmead family. We are passionate about making wines that speak of the remarkable communities that they come from, be that the beautiful Barossa, or further afield as we start to spread our wings with Small Victories Wine Co. In 2020, as our family business turned 40, together we decided it was time to explore some different wine styles, varieties, and regions. We set out to create Small Victories Wine Co and make a range of wines that are fresh and modern; wines that look to the future, with sustainability and climate change in mind; but most importantly, wines that are seriously delicious.

Small Victories allows our family to have a bit of fun, making wines that can break the rules and not always conform to those ideals that Elderton holds dear.
