Cabernet Sauvignon
With shared passions for growing grapes and making wine it was inevitable that Eloise Jarvis and Glenn Goodall would create something of their own; eminently drinkable wines that were a little bit kooki, drawing on their combined wealth of experience, long relationships with fantastic growers in Western Australia, and local knowledge.
| Tasting Notes | ‘‘A bold expressive cabernet sauvignon.... deep blackcurrent and cassis notes, complemented by cedar tobacco and a touch of dark chocolate. Firm yet velvety tannins provide structure and balance. A classic cabernet sauvignon that pairs beautifully with hearty dishes or can be enjoyed on its own.’’ Ray Jordan RAY JORDAN WINES |
| Winemaking | Local. Knowledge. A play on words that represent the depth of experience that we collectively and individually bring to making cabernet sauvignon together in Margaret River, our home. It’s taken 23 years for us to make cabernet together - we have differences of opinion and preferences of fruit but always a respect for each other’s perspectives; the choice of vineyard, who we work with and when to pick, the most important decisions in bringing a cabernet together. Glenn also has a formidable reputation. Through our work we both have the opportunity to see many vineyards throughout the region, a privilege that provides great perspective. |

Toscana
The name of Tuscany is synonymous with its most famous, and probably Italy’s most famous, red wine. Chianti is produced in high volumes and exported worldwide, with a distinctive personality that is difficult to define but that has somehow impressed consumers all over the world. The Sangiovese grape is the key to the region’s success, as the backbone of DOCG wines in Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Carmignano. Yet the region’s prestige is today further enhanced by the evolution of the “Super Tuscan”, wines that now rank among some of Italy’s most refined. Failing to slot into any existing DOC or DOCG category, they are now largely classed as Toscana IGT in order to avoid the humble Vino da Tavola category.
