100% Chardonnay - This cuvée is a must have of the winery. It’s a blend of 40% old vines of chardonnay aged in oak barrels. Its texture is smooth and delicate, persistent and tart, then followed by an aroma of toast and honey, with a long buttery and brioche finish Awards : 93/100 by James Suckling 2025 / 17/20 by Jancis Robinson 2025 / Coup de cœur and 2 stars in the Guide Hachette / Gold Medal at Chardonnay du Monde 2018

FRANCE ~ CHAMPAGNE ROMERY: TRIBAUT SCHLOESSER
It all began in the early 20th century when René Schloesser, a young farmer from Luxembourg, left his homeland for a better life in Champagne. There he met Lucie Coutelas, a young farmer and vine grower from Romery. They got married in 1927. Whilst the Wall Street Crash crippled France and Champagne merchants stopped buying grapes, René and Lucie decided to sell their own champagne in 1929! That’s how our brand began… Just 1,000 bottles were produced at the start. Every morning, René would cycle over to Damery station with them stacked on his bike rack. The train would take the bottles to Paris where family based in the capital would take care of selling the champagne. After the Liberation in 1945, champagne sales flourished and production at Schloesser gradually increased; it soon soared to 5,000 bottles sold primarily in Paris and Lyon. Now it’s the fourth generation’s turn to keep the family legacy alive. Jean-Marie’s sons, Sébastien and Valentin, took over the family business and work together.
